New thing I just got! or Happy Halloween to me!

I was at Jo Anns because I had a coupon for 20% off my entire purchase including sale items.
Oh yeah, this was included in the "sale items" - all the DCWV Stacks were $9.99 plus I got the additional 20%. Add to that the fact that I missed the Halloween Stack last year because I saw it but thought I would come back and get it later...

These Two are Nuts!

This is me with Chip and Dale! They are such fun to meet in the park! After Donald, they are my favorites! SO - I had several elements from this layout all prepped and ready to stick down but I just couldn't get it to look good. I knew I wanted to use the orange acorn paper from the DCWV Amber Autumn stack and the brown leafy one as well. I was stuck so I went back through the stack and came across the big sun flower! It all clicked and I finally got this one done and in the book! YAY!

Sleeping Beauty Castle

OK! This one was for one of the sizziling summer challenges on Scrapbook Challenges - I really had to go out of my comfort zone for this. The challenge called for using as many stamps as possible and to be a little messy! I like how it turned out but I still think I need to practice this style before I am totally comfortable! :)

Tangled

This is my nephew and he is obsessed with Rapunzel from Tangled! This layout is for the Disney Scrappers Challenge #6 called "Say What?" The challenge was to use a quote made at a Disney park or event and make a page around it. Well, this particular quote was made on Facebook when this photo was posted there, but I think that counts!

I used My Mind's Eye paper, glimmer mist, prima flowers and various charms and stickers from my stash. I work in the 8.5x11 size so I used the border of the 12x12 paper to make the half frame on the photo. The heart medallion was on clearance at Michaels. I think it was meant to be a gift attachment but I like it for this!

Dude!

Any Turtle Talkers out there? Turtle Talk with Crush! is one of my favorite things in Disney's California Adventure (DCA). For those who don't know - you go into the theatre and Crush comes to the window (he calls it the "Human Tank"). Crush does a few comedy bits and also takes questions from the audience. It is interactive with that particular audience so the show is different every time! Do not miss this when you go to DCA - it is in the Animation Building, to the right as you enter. There is not usually more than a 20 minute wait and that is if you get there right after a show starts and you have to wait for the next one. Plus there is plenty to keep you busy while you wait!

Now - about this layout - it is a bit ummmmm well FULL! Hard to believe I actually took some stuff off, right? I just kept finding things I thought would look good on it and added and added! The background paper looks less yellow in real life, but I am wishing I had chosen a yellow background because I think it looks good. The printed paper is Imaginisce Splash Dance Bathing Beauties, the polka dot paper is the reverse of the ocean scene. I used a bunch of ribbons and stickers from my stash. Marlon was cut from a valentine card (haha - I save and use EVERY THING!). I used a sketch from Sketch Savvy. It's an older one - but still great as all her sketches are!

My Monthly Goal

My New Years Resolution was to do 78 scrapbook layouts this year. I planned to do one each day in January and then one a week for the rest of the year. Well - I have failed hopelessly at that but there is still time to save the Resolution! I am doing a Jump Start July - one layout for each day in July! I am not requiring that I do one a day, (no way since my work schedule will not allow that) just that by the end of July I have done 31. And then as many as I can each week after that until I am caught up. Sooo... I have 2 complete so far, two that are in process (the stuff for the layout is chosen it just needs to be arranged and stuck down on the paper) and I have ideas for three more rolling around in my head. I also just saw a really great page by
Susan
that I must scraplift! Hopefully, I will have something completed to post tonight! :)

Daisy Duck

Above the candy counter at Disneyland there is a display featuring Daisy Duck - and her outfit changes with the seasons and holidays. Here she is in her patriotic summer outfit! :) I tried to cut the title on my cricut out of glitter foam but that really didn't work (pretty sure it's time for a new blade) so I hand cut it. The papers are DCWV Nantucket and most of the embellishments are K&Co.

Seasons of Change Blog Hop

I am participating in something new - I am a hopper on a Blog Hop - each blog involved links to the next in line and the hoppers go to each blog and comment. This one is for the Scrapbook Challenges group. On the first blog, there is a sketch and each blog you visit has that bloggers version of the sketch. When you are a hopper, and you get to the end of the hop, you are asked to do a version of the sketch and post it on your own blog and link to the Scrapbook Challenges message board. So, long story but... here is my take on the sketch. This is a picture of my nephew at a family party, his mom (my sister) put this bib that I gave them on him! It says "My Auntie is Awsome!" Even more special because I live in Arizona and they don't!

If you want to participate go here:
