Hey! Our favorite duck has his own star on the walk of fame!
According to Wikipedia:
In 2005, Donald received his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 6840 Hollywood Blvd. joining other fictional characters such as Mickey Mouse, Bugs Bunny, Woody Woodpecker, The Simpsons, Winnie the Pooh, Kermit the Frog, Big Bird, Godzilla and Snow White.
As you can see above - our guys star is designated for Motion Pictures!
I have seen a few stories that have this award happening in 2004 - so wiki may be wrong about the date! :)

Donald Duck Fun Fact AND Flashback Friday Photo
I have a wonderful picture for The Flash Back Friday Blog Hop at Focused on the Magic! This is Donald at Disney's California Adventure circa 2001 when it first opened! They had the fab five out a lot more in those early days all decked out in their vacation outfits!

Donald Duck Fun Fact Friday - It's a Small World, after all.
For most of 2008 the "It's a Small World" attraction was closed for refurbishment. During this time, the regular clean up and fix up happened, but there was also the additional task of adding various Disney Characters to the mix! According to Wikipedia:
The refurbishment added 30 new Disney characters each in their native land, such as Ariel under water, Pinocchio in Italy, Cinderella in France with England hosting Alice, the White Rabbit, Peter Pan and Tinkerbell. The former New Guinea Room was transformed to North America with Woody, Jessie and Bullseye, and in the South Seas room is Dori, Marlin, Lilo and Stitch. The scenes, figures, props, and set pieces of New Guinea were then added to the end of the South Seas Room.
Not mentioned by Wiki - Donald was added to the attraction in the Mexico section, decked out in his three caballeros garb! It's my new favorite part of the ride and although this ride is difficult to photograph - I managed to get a fairly good one!
I also took a movie! (Different trip)

Donald Duck Fun Fact Friday
No - I did not forget Donald Duck Fun Fact Friday! I just posted my Dumbo layout so late last night I wanted to give it some time in the spotlight! So - for all you sporty types:
Donald Duck is the mascot of the University of Oregon! There is a great article about how he became the mascot on the University of Oregon website. While the logo for the school is no longer Donald Duck bursting through the giant "O", he is still the mascot at games!

Donald Duck Fun Fact Friday!
Brand New Feature starring my favorite Disney guy - Donald Fauntleroy Duck! Yes, Fauntleroy is Donald's middle name and that is our "fun fact" for Donald Duck Fun Fact Friday! This portrait of Donald is called "Hi, I'm Donald Duck" and was painted by well known Donald artist Carl Barks.
